Westlands Community Primary School

Year Two

WELCOME TO OUR YEAR GROUP'S VIRTUAL PAGE.

Book week is upon us and Thursday is world book day! This year, we are focusing on how illustrations in books add to our enjoyment and understanding of fiction and non-fiction texts. We talk a lot about Illustration in Year Two as illustration is crucial in supporting our understanding of a text. Thursday is our dress up day! Dress up as your favourite book character for your live lesson. Remember, this could also be a real person from a non-fiction book. Try to be as creative as you can with your costume, with the resources you have at home.
