Early Years

Welcome to Early Years.

Our Early Years new outside learning area was installed in Summer 2018 and we are delighted to see the children enjoying learning opportunities where they are able to develop their fine and gross motor skills, problem solve, explore the world around them whilst developing language and social skills outdoors.  We also have a fabulous woodland area for children to explore and we often link our classroom texts to the use of the outside areas.  For example, we read Michael Rosen's 'We're Going on a Bear Hunt' and then used the woodland area to go on our very own bear hunt!  We develop our classroom areas with equal creativity to ensure that children are excited and engaged in learning.  Early Years loved their role play corner just recently when it became a Fire Station and then we had a visit from the Fire Service with a real fire engine for the children to explore.
