Key Stage 2

The National Curriculum includes a list of compulsory subjects that all children must be taught.  For Key Stage 2 these are: English, Maths, Science, Design & Technology, Computing, History, Geography, Art & Design, a modern foreign language (at Westlands, this is French), Music and Physical Education.

Every state funded school must offer a curriculum that is broad and balanced and which promotes the spiritual, moral, cultural, mental and physical development of children at the school and of society, and prepares children at the school for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of later life.
